A little chance. A lot of possibility.
Use Dice in a Presentation
Link a live dice roller from Google Slides or PowerPoint, then switch to the browser when it is time to roll.
1. Add a link to your slide
Select a word or shape in your presentation and add a hyperlink to the classroom roller. A descriptive label such as Open classroom dice makes the action clear.
In Google Slides
Select the text or shape, choose Insert, then Link (or press Ctrl+K, or ⌘+K on a Mac), paste https://virtualdiceroller.co/classroom/ and apply.
In PowerPoint
Select the text or shape, choose Insert, then Link (or press Ctrl+K, or ⌘+K on a Mac), paste the same address and confirm.
2. Open the live roller
Follow the link in presentation mode. The roller opens in a browser; it is not a native presentation add-in or an embedded live slide.
Press Full screen on the roller for oversized dice that the whole room can read. Prefer a different tool? Link the main virtual dice roller, the two dice roller or the custom dice roller instead.
3. Return to your presentation
Roll, read the result, then switch back to the presentation. Test the link and your display setup before the lesson begins.
- Press Escape to leave the roller’s full-screen view.
- Switch windows with Alt+Tab on Windows or ⌘+Tab on a Mac.
- Keep the roller open in a tab so the next roll is one click away.
